  • Michael Morse

    Senior Pastor

Michael was born in Jacksonville, Florida and spent his early years in Southern California.  At 9 his family moved to El Paso.  Raised in and out of church growing up he didnt come to a personal relationship with the Lord until he was 21 years old (February 2003).  His out of control lifestyle collided with the Lord after a Wednesday night service at Calvary Chapel Sun City.  Since surrendering his life to Christ he has been involved in children's ministry, youth ministry, college ministry and served as an elder at CC Sun City.  There his pastor Terry Gray discipled him along with a group of men for pastoral ministry.  Afterwards he along with his wife Luana and three kids (Niko 7, Nathan 5 and Abby 3), stepped out with a small group to plant Calvary Chapel Redeeming Grace on the Far Eastside of El Paso. With a vision and heart for his community his desire is to teach God's word verse by verse and preach the Gospel of Jesus to all who will listen.

  • Luana Morse

    Women's Ministry

Born and raised in El Paso, Luana was raised to know love and how to love others.  Growing up she was taught about faith and church was important in her family.  As she left home truth became her interest.  What is truth, Who was God, and What is faith.  She always believed and knew there was a  God and who Jesus Christ was, but she felt drawn to what it meant to fully entrust Him with her life.  On trip to Hawaii after graduating high school - July of '99 He revealed Himself in a personal and undeniable way.  Her eyes were opened to His truth and His loved poured into and overwhelmed her.  Since then her desire is to live a life pleasing to the Lord, it brings her joy unexplainable.  She met her husband Michael at church when they were leading the Calvary Chapel Sun City youth ministry together.  Married in 2008 and have had 3 children.  What a joy they have loving on their community and growing in their relationship with God, each other, their family, friends and church.  In addition to being a Pastor's Wife she plays guitar and also has a heart for building into the women here at Calvary Chapel Redeeming Grace, through fellowship and teaching the Bible.

  • James Pirtle

    Music Minister

James is originally from Roswell, NM.  It was there that he grew up in the Tabernacle Baptist Church, and attended Central Christian School where he accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 7.  He comes from a very church and music oriented family and has studied music and sound most of his life.  James has always felt a strong calling to be in ministry, however, it was not until moving to El Paso, TX in 2001 that he gave into that calling and began serving at Calvary Chapel Sun City.  It was there that he met Michael and Luana , and it is because of these God-given relationships that he now finds himself blessed with the opportunity to serve, praise, and worship our Lord God as the Music Minister here at Calvary Chapel Redeeming Grace.

  • Jim Phillips

    Interim Worship Leader / Counseling

Having lived all his life in Ohio, Jim was drawn to the El Paso area, enticed by the food, people and culture.  While serving at a local church, Jim felt called to utilize his musical and counseling background, along with his elder's training, and when he heard about Pastor Mike planting a new church, knew that here, at Calvary Chapel Redeeming Grace, was where his God-given talents could be put to work.  Jim serves as Interim-Worship Leader and as a Counselor.

  • Donna Phillips

    Children's Ministry / Counseling

Living the majority of her life in Ohio, Donna received the equivalent of a bachelor's degree in biblical counseling from the Biblical Counseling Institute in Garrettsville, Ohio, where she also taught at the local Christian school.  Moving to El Paso with her husband Jim she taught at a Christian school and volunteered in the children's ministry at a local church.  When Jim was drawn by God to Calvary Chapel Redeeming Grace, she supported the move and serves as Children's Ministry Leader and a Counselor.
